English Translation
Abu Zakariyya ibn Abi Ishaq al-Muzakki narrated to us... from Malik, from Ibn Shihab, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said to the Jews of Khaybar when he conquered Khaybar: 'I will keep you here as long as Allah keeps you, on the condition that the dates are divided between us and you.' The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) used to send 'Abdullah ibn Rawahah (may Allah be pleased with him) to estimate the yield, then he would say: 'If you wish, it is yours; and if you wish, it is mine.' They would take it.
