أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ فُورَكٍ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ أنبأ يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ نِسْطَاسٍ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ؓ إِذَا تَبِعَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْجِنَازَةَ فَلْيَأْخُذْ بِجَوَانِبِ السَّرِيرِ الْأَرْبَعَةِ ثُمَّ لِيَتَطَوَّعْ بَعْدُ أَوْ يَذَرَ فَإِنَّهُ مِنَ السُّنَّةِ
English Translation
Abdullah ibn Mas'ud said: 'When one of you follows a funeral, let him take hold of all four sides of the bier, then afterward let him do voluntary good deeds or leave them, for this (carrying the bier from all sides) is from the Sunnah.'
