English Translation
Abu al-Hasan ibn Abi al-Ma'ruf the jurist narrated to us... from Amir ibn Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr, from Abdullah ibn al-Zubayr, that whenever he heard thunder, he would stop talking and say: 'Glory be to Him whom the thunder glorifies with His praise, and the angels out of fear of Him.' Then he would say: 'Indeed, this is a severe warning to the people of the earth.'
