أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عَفَّانَ الْعَامِرِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ثنا مِسْعَرُ بْنُ كِدَامٍ عَنْ يَزِيدَ الْفَقِيرِ عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ بَوَاكِي فَقَالَ اللهُمَّ اسْقِنَا غَيْثًا مُغِيثًا مَرِيًّا مَرِيعًا عَاجِلًا غَيْرَ آجِلٍ نَافِعًا غَيْرَ ضَارٍّ فَأَطْبَقَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ هَكَذَا أَخْبَرَنَا بِهِ فِي كِتَابِ الْمُسْتَدْرَكِ وَأَخْبَرَنَا بِهِ فِي الْفَوَائِدِ الْكَبِيرِ لِأَبِي الْعَبَّاسِ فَقَالَ فِي الْحَدِيثِ أَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ هَوَازِنُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ قُولُوا اللهُمَّ اسْقِنَا 6438 وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأُشْنَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصَمُّ فَذَكَرَهُ وَقَالَ هَوَازِنُ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ قُولُوا هَكَذَا
English Translation
Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hafiz narrated to us... from Jabir ibn Abdullah who said: Women came weeping to the Prophet (peace be upon him). He said: 'O Allah, give us rain that is beneficial, plentiful, productive, immediate and not delayed, helpful and not harmful.' So the sky poured upon them. This is how he narrated it to us in Kitab al-Mustadrak. In al-Fawa'id al-Kabir of Abu al-Abbas, the hadith says: 'The Hawazin came to the Prophet and the Prophet said: Say: O Allah, give us rain...' Abu Bakr Ahmad narrated to us... and mentioned 'Hawazin' without saying 'Say.'
