مَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ وَمُوسَى بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَبَّادٍ وَاللَّفْظُ لِمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ قَالُوا أنبأ رَوْحُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمُؤْمِنِ ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ شَقِيقٍ ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ عَنْ رَبِيعِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ عَنْ أُبِيِّ بْنِ كَعْبٍ قَالَ كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ وَأَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَّى بِهِمْ فَقَرَأَ سُورَةً مِنَ الطِّوَالِ وَرَكَعَ خَمْسَ رَكَعَاتٍ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ قَامَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ فَقَرَأَ سُورَةً مِنَ الطِّوَالِ وَرَكَعَ خَمْسَ رَكَعَاتٍ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ كَمَا هُوَ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الْقِبْلَةِ يَدْعُو حَتَّى تَجَلَّى كُسُوفُهَا
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz narrated to us... from Ubayy ibn Ka'b who said: The sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), and the Messenger of Allah prayed with them. He recited a long surah and bowed five times, then prostrated two prostrations. Then he stood for the second unit and recited a long surah and bowed five times, then prostrated two prostrations. Then he sat as he was, facing the qiblah, supplicating until the eclipse cleared.
