أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ جَنَاحُ بْنُ نُذَيْرِ بْنِ جَنَاحٍ الْقَاضِي وَأَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ الْمُقْرِئُ بِالْكُوفَةِ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ دُحَيْمٍ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ أنبأ أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ ثنا شَيْبَانُ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ؓ ا أَنَّهُ لَمَّا كَسَفَتِ الشَّمْسُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ نُودِيَ أَنَّ الصَّلَاةَ جَامِعَةٌ فَرَكَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي سَجْدَةٍ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَرَكَعَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ فِي سَجْدَةٍ ثُمَّ جَلَسَ حَتَّى جُلِّيَ عَنِ الشَّمْسِ
English Translation
Abu Muhammad Janah ibn Nudhair narrated to us... from Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the sun eclipsed during the time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), it was announced: 'The prayer is a congregational one.' The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) bowed twice in one unit of prayer, then stood and bowed twice in another unit of prayer, then sat until the eclipse cleared from the sun.
