English Translation
Muhammad ibn Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us... from Ibn Umar who said: When the Prophet (peace be upon him) stood for prayer, he would raise his hands until they were level with his shoulders, then make the takbir while they were in that position. When he bowed, and when he wanted to raise his head, he would raise them until they were level with his shoulders, then say: Allah hears the one who praises Him. Then he would prostrate without raising his hands in prostration. He would raise them with every takbir he made before bowing until his prayer was completed.
