أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ أنبأ زَائِدَةُ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ عَنْ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ كَانَ ابْنُ عَبَّاسٍ يُكَبِّرُ فِي الْعِيدَيْنِ ثِنْتَيْ عَشْرَةَ تَكْبِيرَةً سَبْعٌ فِي الْأُولَى وَخَمْسٌ فِي الْآخِرَةِ هَذَا إِسْنَادٌ صَحِيحٌ وَقَدْ قِيلَ فِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمَانَ ثَلَاثَ عَشْرَةَ تَكْبِيرَةً سَبْعٌ فِي الْأُولَى وَسِتٌّ فِي الْآخِرَةِ فَكَأَنَّهُ عَدَّ تَكْبِيرَةَ الْقِيَامِ
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us... from Ata' who said: Ibn Abbas used to make twelve takbirs on the two Eids - seven in the first and five in the last. This is an authentic chain. It has also been said from Abd al-Malik ibn Abi Sulayman: thirteen takbirs - seven in the first and six in the last, as if he counted the takbir for standing up.
