وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو صَالِحِ بْنُ أَبِي طَاهِرٍ أنبأ جَدِّي يَحْيَى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ثنا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ قَالَ لِصَاحِبِهِ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَالْإِمَامُ يَخْطُبُ أَنْصِتْ فَقَدْ لَغَا
English Translation
Abu Salih ibn Abi Tahir informed us... from Ahmad ibn Salamah... from Qutaybah ibn Sa'id... from al-Layth, from 'Uqayl, from al-Zuhri, from Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib, from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Whoever says to his companion on Friday while the imam is delivering the sermon: Be quiet! has committed an act of idle speech (lagha).'
