English Translation
A man asked Imran ibn Husayn about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) while traveling. He said: 'Come to our gathering.' He said: 'This man asked me about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah during travel, so remember it from me: The Messenger of Allah never traveled except that he prayed two rak'ahs until he returned, saying: O people of Makkah, stand and pray two rak'ahs, for we are travelers. He fought at al-Ta'if and Hunayn and prayed two rak'ahs. He went to al-Ji'ranah and performed Umrah from there. I performed Hajj with Abu Bakr and Umrah, and he prayed two rak'ahs. And with Umar, and he prayed two rak'ahs. And with Uthman, who prayed two rak'ahs at the beginning of his rule, then Uthman prayed four at Mina.'
