أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ دَرَسْتَوَيْهِ ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ وَأَبُو النُّعْمَانِ وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ قَالُوا ثنا مُلَازِمُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بَدْرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شَيْبَانَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ شَيْبَانَ وَكَانَ أَحَدَ الْوَفْدِ الَّذِينَ وَفَدُوا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ بَنِي سُحَيْمٍ قَالَ صَلَّيْنَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ صَلَاةً فَلَمَحَ بِمُؤَخَّرِ عَيْنَيْهِ فَرَأَى رَجُلًا لَا يُقِيمُ صُلْبَهُ فِي الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَالَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ لَا صَلَاةَ لِامْرِئٍ لَا يُقِيمُ صُلْبَهُ فِي الرُّكُوعِ وَالسُّجُودِ وَصَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ يَوْمًا آخَرَ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ إِذَا رَجُلٌ خَلْفَ الصَّفِّ يُصَلِّي وَحْدَهُ فَقَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حَتَّى قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَالَ أَعِدْ صَلَاتَكَ لَا صَلَاةَ لِفَرْدٍ خَلْفَ الصَّفِّ
English Translation
Ali ibn Shayban, who was one of the delegates who came to the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) from Banu Suhaym, said: 'We prayed with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) and he glanced with the corner of his eye and saw a man who was not straightening his back in bowing and prostration. When he finished, he said: O people, there is no prayer for a person who does not straighten his back in bowing and prostration. I prayed with the Prophet (peace be upon him) on another day, and when he finished, there was a man behind the row praying alone. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) stood until he finished his prayer, then said: Repeat your prayer, for there is no prayer for an individual behind the row.'
