مَا أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْعَلَوِيُّ رَحِمَهُ اللهُ أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَمْشَاذٍ الْعَدْلُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْمُطَّوِعِيُّ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الْمُبَارَكِيُّ ثنا أَبُو شِهَابٍ الْحَنَّاطُ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ الْمُسَيَّبِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنِ ابْنِ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنَّ لِي قَائِدًا لَا يُلَاوِمُنِي فِي هَاتَيْنِ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ قَالَ أِيّ�� الصَّلَاتَيْنِ؟ قُلْتُ الْعِشَاءُ وَالصُّبْحُ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ لَوْ يَعْلَمُ الْقَاعِدُ عَنْهُمَا مَا فِيهِمَا لَأَتَاهُمَا وَلَوْ حَبْوًا قَالَ الشَّيْخُ وَاخْتَلَفُوا فِي اسْمِ ابْنِ أُمِّ مَكْتُومٍ فَقِيلَ عَبْدَ اللهِ وَقِيلَ عَمْرٌو
English Translation
Anas narrated: "A Bedouin came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) on Friday while he was delivering the sermon and said: 'O Messenger of Allah, the livestock are dying and the families are hungry. Supplicate to Allah for us.' The Prophet raised his hands and said: 'O Allah, give us rain. O Allah, give us rain. O Allah, give us rain.' By Allah, we could not see a cloud in the sky, and between us and the mountain there was no house or building. A cloud like a shield appeared from behind it, and by the time the Prophet was in the middle of the sky, it spread and rained. By Allah, we did not see the sun for six days."
