أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ مُكْرَمٍ الْبَزَّارُ بِبَغْدَادَ ثنا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ رَبِيعَةَ عَنْ عِرَاكِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ لَا تُوتِرُوا بِثَلَاثٍ قَالَ البيهقي ٤٨١٧: عن
English Translation
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "May Allah have mercy on a man who wakes at night and prays, then wakes his wife, and if she refuses, he sprinkles water on her face. May Allah have mercy on a woman who wakes at night and prays, then wakes her husband, and if he refuses, she sprinkles water on his face."
