Abū Bakr Aḥmad b. Isḥāq > Muḥammad b. Ayyūb > Musaddad > Yaḥyá > Shuʿbah > Qatādah > Abū al-ʿĀliyah > Ibn ʿAbbās > Unās Aʿjabuhum Ilay ʿUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb ؓ وَأنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ أنبأ مُسَدَّدٌ ثنا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْعَالِيَةِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أُنَاسٌ أَعْجَبُهُمْ إِلَيَّ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ نَهَى عَنِ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْفَجْرِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ وَعَنِ الصَّلَاةِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ
English Translation
Wathilah ibn al-Asqa narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Keep the mosques free from your children, your insane, your buying and selling, your disputes, and your unsheathing of swords." Though its chain contains weakness, it has supporting evidence.
