English Translation
Anas ibn Malik said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was the best of people in character. Sometimes the prayer time would come while he was in our house. He would order the mat beneath him to be swept, then sprinkled with water, then he would stand and we would stand behind him, and he would lead us in prayer. Their mat was made of palm fronds. Muslim narrated it in his Sahih from Shayban and others from Abd al-Warith.
