English Translation
Ibn Umar reported that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) made a gold ring and would place its stone facing his palm. So the people also made gold rings. Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) threw it away and made a silver ring. It was in his hand, then in the hand of Abu Bakr, then Umar, then Uthman (may Allah be pleased with them), until it fell into the well of Aris. Muslim narrated it in his Sahih from Abdullah ibn Abi Shaybah, and al-Bukhari included it from various routes from Ubaydullah ibn Umar.
