وَالَّذِي أَنْبَأَهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ أنبأ عَلِيُّ بْنُ عُمَرَ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ ثنا أَبُو حَفْصٍ الْأَبَّارُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ ضَمْرَةَ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ ؓ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى بِالْقَوْمِ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ فَأَعَادَ ثُمَّ أَمَرَهُمْ فَأَعَادُوا فَهَذَا إِنَّمَا يَرْوِيهِ عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ أَبُو مَخْلَدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ رَمَاهُ الْحُفَّاظُ بِالْكَذِبِ أَنَّهُ صَلَّى بِالْقَوْمِ وَهُوَ جُنُبٌ فَأَعَادَ ثُمَّ أَمَرَهُمْ فَأَعَادُوا فَهَذَا إِنَّمَا يَرْوِيهِ عَمْرُو بْنُ خَالِدٍ أَبُو مَخْلَدٍ الْوَاسِطِيُّ وَهُوَ مَتْرُوكٌ رَمَاهُ الْحُفَّاظُ بِالْكَذِبِ
English Translation
Ahmad ibn Muhammad ibn al-Harith informed us of it, from Ali ibn Umar, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Abd al-Aziz, from Dawud ibn Rushaid, from Abu Hafs al-Abbar, from Amr ibn Khalid, from Habib ibn Abi Thabit, from Asim ibn Damrah, from Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), that he led the people in prayer while in a state of major ritual impurity. He repeated his prayer and then ordered them to repeat theirs. This is narrated only by Amr ibn Khalid Abu Makhlad al-Wasiti, and he is an abandoned narrator whom the hadith scholars accused of lying.
