أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ بْنِ الْحَسَنِ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ السُّلَمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ أنبأ ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ أَخْبَرَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ إِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُكُمْ عَلَى شَكٍّ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ فِي النُّقْصَانِ فَلْيُصَلِّ حَتَّى يَكُونَ عَلَى الشَّكِّ مِنَ الزِّيَادَةِ وَقَدْ مَضَى مَعْنَاهُ فِي حَدِيثِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ وَأَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ؓ
English Translation
Ibn Abbas narrated from Abd al-Rahman ibn Awf who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say: 'When any of you is in doubt about his prayer regarding a deficiency, let him pray until he is in doubt about an excess.' The meaning of this has already been mentioned in the hadith of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri, Ibn Umar, and Anas ibn Malik, may Allah be pleased with them.
