وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو نَصْرٍ الْعِرَاقِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْجَوْهَرِيُّ ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْوَلِيدِ ثنا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي خُصَيْفٌ عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ؓ أَنَّهُ قَالَ السَّهْوُ إِذَا قَامَ فِيمَا يَجْلِسُ فِيهِ أَوْ قَعَدَ فِيمَا يُقَامُ فِيهِ أَوْ سَلَّمَ فِي رَكْعَتَيْنِ فَإِنَّهُ يَفْرُغُ مِنْ صَلَاتِهِ وَيَسْجُدُ سَجْدَتَيْنِ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ يَتَشَهَّدُ فِيهِمَا وَيُسَلِّمُ
English Translation
Abdullah ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him, said: 'Forgetfulness [requiring prostration] is when one stands when he should sit, or sits when he should stand, or gives salam after two rak'ahs. Then he should complete his prayer and prostrate twice while sitting, recite the tashahhud in them, and give salam.'
