أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو صَالِحِ بْنُ أَبِي طَاهِرٍ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ أنبأ جَدِّي يَحْيَى بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ الْقَاضِي ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيَّ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ إِدْرِيسَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ الْحَسَنَ بْنَ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ النَّخَعِيِّ الْأَعْوَرِ (ح) وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ثنا جَرِيرٌ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ قَالَ صَلَّى بِنَا عَلْقَمَةُ الظُّهْرَ خَمْسًا فَلَمَّا سَلَّمَ قَالَ الْقَوْمُ يَا أَبَا شِبْلٍ قَدْ صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا قَالَ كَلَّا مَا فَعَلْتُ قَالُوا بَلَى قَالَ وَكُنْتُ فِي نَاحِيَةِ الْقَوْمِ وَأَنَا غُلَامٌ فَقُلْتُ بَلَى قَدْ صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا فَقَالَ وَأَنْتَ أَيْضًا يَا أَعْوَرُ تَقُولُ؟ قَالَ قُلْتُ نَعَمْ فَانْفَتَلَ فَسَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ خَمْسًا فَلَمَّا انْفَتَلَ تَوَشْوَشَ الْقَوْمُ بَيْنَهُمْ فَقِيلَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ هَلْ زِيدَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ؟ قَالَ لَا قَالُوا فَقَدْ صَلَّيْتَ خَمْسًا فَانْفَتَلَ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ قَالَ إِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ مِثْلُكُمْ أَنْسَى كَمَا تَنْسَوْنَ فَإِذَا نَسِيَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَسْجُدْ سَجْدَتَيْنِ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ جَرِيرٍ
English Translation
Ibrahim ibn Suwayd said: Alqamah led us in Dhuhr prayer with five rak'ahs. When he gave the salam, the people said: 'O Abu Shibl, you prayed five.' He said: 'No, I did not.' They said: 'Yes, you did.' He [Ibrahim] said: I was on the side of the people, and I was a young boy, so I said: 'Yes, you prayed five.' He said: 'You too, O one-eyed one, say so?' I said: 'Yes.' So he turned and prostrated twice, then gave the salam. Then he said: Abdullah said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) led us in prayer with five rak'ahs. When he turned, the people whispered among themselves, and it was said: 'O Messenger of Allah, has something been added to the prayer?' He said: 'No.' They said: 'You prayed five.' So he turned and prostrated twice, then gave the salam. Then he said: 'I am only a human being like you; I forget as you forget. So when any of you forgets, let him prostrate twice.' This is the wording of Jarir's hadith.
