وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي وَغَيْرُهُمَا قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أنبأ الشَّافِعِيُّ أنبأ عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ عَنْ أَبِي قِلَابَةَ عَنْ أَبِي الْمُهَلَّبِ عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ قَالَ سَلَّمَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فِي ثَلَاثِ رَكَعَاتٍ مِنَ الْعَصْرِ ثُمَّ قَامَ فَدَخَلَ الْحُجْرَةَ فَقَامَ الْخِرْبَاقُ رَجُلٌ بَسِيطُ الْيَدَيْنِ فَنَادَى يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَقَصُرَتِ الصَّلَاةُ؟ فَخَرَجَ مُغْضَبًا يَجُرُّ رِدَاءَهُ فَسَأَلَ فَأُخْبِرَ فَصَلَّى تِلْكَ الرَّكْعَةِ الَّتِي كَانَ تَرَكَ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ ثُمَّ سَجَدَ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ثُمَّ سَلَّمَ
English Translation
Imran ibn Husayn narrated: The Prophet (peace be upon him) gave the salam after three rak'ahs of the Asr prayer, then stood up and entered his chamber. Al-Khirbaq, a man with long arms, stood up and called out: O Messenger of Allah, has the prayer been shortened? He came out angry, dragging his garment. He asked and was informed, so he prayed the rak'ah he had missed, then gave the salam, then prostrated two prostrations, then gave the salam.
