أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ فُورَكٍ أنبأ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا شُعْبَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عِمْرَانَ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ الصَّامِتِ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ؓ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ إِنَّهُ سَيَكُونُ أُمَرَاءُ يُؤَخِّرُونَ الصَّلَاةَ عَنْ مَوَاقِيتِهَا أَلْأَفَضْلُ الصَّلَاةُ لِوَقْتِهَا ثُمَّ ائْتِهِمْ فَإِنْ كَانُوا قَدْ صَلَّوْا كُنْتَ قَدْ أَحْرَزْتَ صَلَاتَكَ وَإِلَّا صَلَّيْتَ مَعَهُمْ فَكَانَتْ نَافِلَةً
English Translation
Abu Bakr ibn Furak informed us, Abdullah ibn Ja'far informed us, Yunus ibn Habib narrated to us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, Shu'bah narrated to us, Abu Imran informed me. He said: I heard Abdullah ibn al-Samit narrating from Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'There will be rulers who will delay the prayer beyond its proper time. The best prayer is the prayer at its time. Then go to them, and if they have already prayed, you will have secured your prayer. Otherwise, pray with them and it will be a voluntary prayer for you.'
