أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَتَّابٍ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ثنا مَالِكٌ (ح) وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُقْرِئُ أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ثنا ابْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ عَنِ الْعَلَاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ لَا تَأْتُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَأَنْتُمْ تَسْعَوْنَ وَأْتُوهَا وَعَلَيْكُمُ السَّكِينَةُ فَمَا أَدْرَكْتُمْ فَصَلُّوا وَمَا فَاتَكُمْ فَأَتِمُّوا لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ الْمُقْرِئِ
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, Abu Bakr ibn Attab informed us, Abd al-Rahman ibn Marzuq narrated to us, Uthman ibn Umar narrated to us, Malik narrated to us. And Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn Muhammad al-Muqri informed us, al-Hasan ibn Muhammad ibn Ishaq informed us, Yusuf ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Abi Bakr narrated to us, Ibn Mahdi narrated to us from Malik ibn Anas from al-Ala ibn Abd al-Rahman from his father from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: 'Do not come to the prayer running. Come to it maintaining your composure. Whatever you catch, pray it; and whatever you miss, complete it.' This is the wording of al-Muqri's hadith.
