أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْقَاضِي وَأَبُو زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ الْمُزَكِّي قَالُوا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ قَالَ قُرِئَ عَلَى ابْنِ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَكَ يُونُسُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا هُرَيْرَةَ وَأَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ؓ يَقُولَانِ رَأَى رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ نُخَامَةً فِي الْقِبْلَةِ فَتَنَاوَلَ حَصَاةً فَحَكَّهَا ثُمَّ قَالَ لَا يَتَنَخَّمُ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الْقِبْلَةِ وَلَا عَنْ يَمِينِهِ وَلْيَبْصُقْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ أَوْ تَحْتَ رِجْلِهِ الْيُسْرَى
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz, Abu Bakr ibn al-Hasan al-Qadi, and Abu Zakariyya ibn Abi Ishaq al-Muzakki informed us, they said: Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, Bahr ibn Nasr narrated to us. He said: It was read to Ibn Wahb: Yunus ibn Yazid informed you from Ibn Shihab. He said: Humayd ibn Abd al-Rahman informed me that he heard Abu Hurayrah and Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with them) saying: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) saw mucus on the qiblah, took a pebble and scraped it, then said: 'Let none of you expectorate toward the qiblah, nor to his right. Let him spit to his left or under his left foot.'
