أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ فِي كِتَابِ الْمُسْتَدْرَكِ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرِ بْنِ سَابِقٍ الْخَوْلَانِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْأَحْوَصِ يُحَدِّثُنَا فِي مَجْلِسِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ قَالَ قَالَ أَبُو ذَرٍّ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَزَالُ اللهُ جَلَّ ثَنَاؤُهُ مُقْبِلًا عَلَى الْعَبْدِ وَهُوَ فِي صَلَاتِهِ مَا لَمْ يَلْتَفِتْ فَإِذَا الْتَفَتَ انْصَرَفَ عَنْهُ 3532 أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ ثنا اللَّيْثُ حَدَّثَنِي يُونُسُ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْأَحْوَصِ يُحَدِّثُ فِي مَجْلِسِ ابْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ أَنَّ أَبَا ذَرٍّ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَا يَزَالُ اللهُ ﷻ مُقْبِلًا عَلَى الْعَبْدِ مَا لَمْ يَلْتَفِتْ فَإِذَا صَرَفَ وَجْهَهُ انْصَرَفَ عَنْهُ وَرَوَاهُ الْحَارِثُ الْأَشْعَرِيُّ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِمَعْنَاهُ
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us in the book al-Mustadrak, Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, Bahr ibn Nasr ibn Sabiq al-Khawlani narrated to us, Abdullah ibn Wahb narrated to us. And Abu Ali al-Rudhbari informed us, Abu Bakr ibn Dasah informed us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Salih narrated to us, Ibn Wahb narrated to us, Yunus informed me from Ibn Shihab. He said: I heard Abu al-Ahwas narrating in the gathering of Sa'id ibn al-Musayyib. He said: Abu Dharr said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Allah continues to face the servant while he is in prayer as long as he does not turn away. When he turns away, He turns away from him.' Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us, Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Ishaq al-Saghani narrated to us, Abu Salih narrated to us, al-Layth narrated to us, Yunus narrated to me from Ibn Shihab. He said: I heard Abu al-Ahwas narrating in the gathering of Ibn al-Musayyib that Abu Dharr said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'Allah continues to face the servant as long as he does not turn away. When he turns his face away, He turns away from him.' Al-Harith al-Ash'ari also narrated from the Prophet (peace be upon him) with a similar meaning.
