أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الدِّمَشْقِيُّ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْوَهْبِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ مِنَ السُّنَّةِ أَنْ يُخْفِيَ التَّشَهُّدَ وَكَذَلِكَ رُوِيَ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ الْأَسْوَدِ
English Translation
Regarding sending blessings upon the Prophet (peace be upon him) in the tashahhud: Abu Mas'ud al-Ansari narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to them and they asked him how to send blessings upon him. He said: "Say: Allahumma salli 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala ali Muhammad kama sallayta 'ala ali Ibrahim, wa barik 'ala Muhammad wa 'ala ali Muhammad kama barakta 'ala ali Ibrahim fil-'alamin, innaka Hamidun Majid."
