وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ الْقَطَّانُ بِبَغْدَادَ أنبأ أَبُو سَهْلِ بْنُ زِيَادٍ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْحَرْبِيُّ ثنا عَفَّانُ ثنا وُهَيْبُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ وَعَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ وَحَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَيُّوبَ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ؓ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ مَنْ حَلَفَ عَلَى يَمِينٍ فَقَالَ إِنْ شَاءَ اللهُ فَهُوَ بِالْخِيَارِ إِنْ شَاءَ فَلْيَمْضِ وَإِنْ شَاءَ فَلْيَتْرُكْ
English Translation
Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever swears an oath and says 'in sha Allah,' he has a choice: if he wishes, he may proceed with it; and if he wishes, he may leave it.
