أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ عَنْ شَقِيقِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ اشْتَكَى رَجُلٌ مِنَّا بَطْنَهُ فَوَجَدَ فِيهِ الصُّفْرَ يَعْنِي الْمَاءَ الْأَصْفَرَ فَأَتَى عَبْدَ اللهِ فَقَالَ أَنِّي اشْتَكَيْتُ بَطْنِي فَنُعِتَ لِيَ السُّكْرُ فَقَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ إِنَّ اللهَ لَمْ يَجْعَلْ شِفَاءَكُمْ فِيمَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ
English Translation
Shaqiq ibn Salamah said: A man among us complained of a stomach ailment and found yellow fluid in it. He came to Abdullah [ibn Mas'ud] and said: I have a stomach complaint and intoxicating drink has been prescribed for me. Abdullah said: 'Indeed, Allah has not placed your cure in what He has forbidden for you.'
