أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُقْرِي أنبأ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْقَاضِي ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَبِي يَزِيدَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ سِبَاعِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أُمِّ كُرْزٍ الْخُزَاعِيَّةِ وَهِي الْكَعْبِيَّةُ ؓ قَالَتْ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ فِي الْعَقِيقَةِ عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ مُكَافَأَتَانِ وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ لَا يَضُرُّكُمْ ذُكْرَانًا كُنَّ أَمْ إِنَاثًا كَذَا قَالَهُ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَذِكْرُ أَبِيهِ فِيهِ وَهْمٌ
English Translation
Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn Muhammad al-Muqri' informed us through chains > Sufyan > Ubaydullah ibn Abi Yazid > his father > Siba' ibn Thabit > Umm Kurz al-Khuza'iyyah al-Ka'biyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) say about the aqiqah: 'For the boy, two equivalent sheep, and for the girl, one sheep. It does not matter whether they are males or females.' This is what Sufyan ibn Uyaynah said from 'his father,' but the mention of 'his father' in this chain is an error.
