أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ وأنبأ أَبُو الْحُسَيْنِ بْنُ بِشْرَانَ أنبأ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الصَّفَّارُ قَالَا ثنا سَعْدَانُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ جُنْدُبَ بْنَ سُفْيَانَ ؓ يَقُولُ شَهِدْتُ الْأَضْحَى مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَامَ رَجُلٌ فَقَالَ إِنَّ نَاسًا ذَبَحُوا قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ فَقَالَ مَنْ ذَبَحَ مِنْكُمْ قَبْلَ الصَّلَاةِ فَلْيُعِدْ ذَبِيحَتَهُ وَمَنْ لَا فَلْيَذْبَحْ عَلَى اسْمِ اللهِ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ الْأَعْرَابِيِّ وَفِي رِوَايَةِ الصَّفَّارِ فَعَلِمَ أَنَّ نَاسًا وَقَالَ فَلْيُعِدْ أُضْحِيَّتَهُ وَمَنْ لَا يَكُنْ فَلْيَذْبَحْ عَلَى اسْمِ اللهِ
English Translation
Abu Muhammad Abdullah ibn Yusuf al-Asbahani informed us, Abu Sa'id ibn al-A'rabi narrated to us. And Abu al-Husayn ibn Bishran informed us, Isma'il ibn Muhammad al-Saffar informed us, they said: Sa'dan ibn Nasr narrated to us, Sufyan ibn Uyaynah narrated to us from al-Aswad ibn Qays who said: I heard Jundub ibn Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with him) saying: I attended the Sacrifice with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). A man stood up and said: "Some people slaughtered before the prayer." He said: "Whoever among you slaughtered before the prayer, let him repeat his sacrifice, and whoever has not yet slaughtered, let him slaughter in the name of Allah." This is the wording of Ibn al-A'rabi's narration. In al-Saffar's narration: "He learned that some people..." and he said: "Let him repeat his sacrifice, and whoever has not yet done so, let him slaughter in the name of Allah."
