أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو طَاهِرٍ الْفَقِيهُ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الْقَطَّانُ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ السُّلَمِيُّ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ قَالَ ذَكَرَ سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سُهَيْلِ بْنِ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ؓ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا لَقِيتُمُ الْمُشْرِكِينَ فِي الطَّرِيقِ فَلَا تَبْدءُوهُمْ بِالسَّلَامِ وَاضْطَرُّوهُمْ إِلَى أَضْيَقِهِ
English Translation
Abu Tahir al-Faqih informed us, Abu Bakr Muhammad ibn al-Husayn al-Qattan narrated to us, Ahmad ibn Yusuf al-Sulami narrated to us, Muhammad ibn Yusuf narrated to us. Sufyan mentioned from Suhayl ibn Abi Salih, from his father, from Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "When you meet the polytheists on the road, do not greet them first with the salam, and force them to the narrowest part of it."
