أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ قَالَ قُرِئَ عَلَى الْحَارِثِ بْنِ مِسْكِينٍ وَأَنَا شَاهِدٌ حَدَّثَكُمْ أَشْهَبُ قَالَ وَسُئِلَ مَالِكٌ عَنْ قَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ جَائِزَتُهُ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ قَالَ يُكْرِمُهُ وَيُتْحِفُهُ وَيَحْفَظُهُ يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً وَثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ ضِيَافَةً
English Translation
Abu 'Ali al-Rudhbari informed us, Muhammad ibn Bakr narrated to us, Abu Dawud narrated to us, it was read to al-Harith ibn Miskin while I was present: Ashhab narrated to you, he said: Malik was asked about the saying of the Prophet (peace be upon him): "His hospitality gift is a day and a night." He said: "He honors him, presents him with gifts, and takes care of him for a day and a night, and three days of hospitality."
