أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا مُصَرِّفُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ثنا يُونُسُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا أَسْبَاطُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْقُرَشِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ صَالَحَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ أَهْلَ نَجْرَانَ عَلَى أَلْفَيْ حُلَّةٍ النِّصْفُ فِي صَفَرٍ وَالنِّصْفُ فِي رَجَبٍ يُؤَدُّونَهَا إِلَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ وَعَارِيَةٍ ثَلَاثِينَ دِرْعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ فَرَسًا وَثَلَاثِينَ بَعِيرًا وَثَلَاثِينَ مِنْ كُلِّ صِنْفٍ مِنْ أَصْنَافِ السِّلَاحِ يَغْزُونَ بِهَا الْمُسْلِمُونَ ضَامِنُونَ لَهَا حَتَّى يَرُدُّوهَا عَلَيْهِمْ إِنْ كَانَ بِالْيَمَنِ كَيْدٌ
English Translation
Abu Ali al-Rudhbari informed us > Abu Bakr ibn Dasah > Abu Dawud > Musarrif ibn Amr > Yunus, meaning Ibn Bukayr > Asbat ibn Nasr al-Hamdani > Isma'il ibn Abd al-Rahman al-Qurashi > Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) made peace with the people of Najran for two thousand garments — half in Safar and half in Rajab — to be paid to the Muslims, and the loan of thirty suits of armor, thirty horses, thirty camels, and thirty of each type of weapon, with which the Muslims would fight and which they would guarantee to return.
