أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو صَادِقٍ الصَّيْدَلَانِيُّ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ قَالَ ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ ؓ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ لَا تَزَالُ طَائِفَةٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِي يُقَاتِلُونَ عَلَى الْحَقِّ ظَاهِرِينَ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ قَالَ وَيَنْزِلُ عِيسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ فَيَقُولُ أ��مِيرُهُمْ تَعَالَ صَلِّ لَنَا فَيَقُولُ لَا إِنَّ بَعْضَكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ أُمَرَاءُ لِتَكْرِمَةِ اللهِ هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةَ
English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz and Abu Sadiq al-Saydalani informed us > Abu al-Abbas Muhammad ibn Ya'qub > Muhammad ibn Ishaq al-Saghani > Hajjaj ibn Muhammad > Ibn Jurayj told me > Abu al-Zubayr heard Jabir ibn Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) say: I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) say: "A group of my Ummah will continue fighting for the truth, prevailing until the Day of Resurrection." He said: And Isa ibn Maryam will descend, and their leader will say: "Come and lead us in prayer." But he will say: "No, some of you are leaders over others, as an honor from Allah to this Ummah."
