أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنبأ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ قَعْنَبٍ عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حُرْمَةُ نِسَاءِ الْمُجَاهِدِينَ عَلَى الْقَاعِدِينَ كَحُرْمَةِ أُمَّهَاتِهِمْ وَمَا مِنْ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْقَاعِدِينَ يَخْلُفُ رَجُلًا فِي أَهْلِهِ إِلَّا نُصِبَ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ فَقِيلَ هَذَا خَلَفُكَ فِي أَهْلِكَ فَخُذْ مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ مَا شِئْتَ فَالْتَفَتَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ مَا ظَنُّكُمْ؟ 18581 وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ أنبأ بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا الْحُمَيْدِيُّ ثنا سُفْيَانُ ثنا قَعْنَبٌ التَّمِيمِيُّ وَكَانَ ثِقَةً خِيَارًا فَذَكَرَهُ بِنَحْوِهِ إِلَّا أَنَّهُ قَالَ فَيُقَالُ لَهُ يَا فُلَانُ هَذَا فُلَانُ بْنُ فُلَانٍ خَانَكَ فَخُذْ مِنْ حَسَنَاتِهِ مَا شِئْتَ
English Translation
Abu Ali al-Rudhbari informed us > Muhammad ibn Bakr > Abu Dawud > Sa'id ibn Mansur > Sufyan > Qa'nab > Alqamah ibn Marthad > Ibn Buraydah > his father, who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: "The sanctity of the wives of the mujahidin upon those who stay behind is like the sanctity of their mothers. There is no man among those who stay behind who looks after a man's family except that he will be made to stand before him on the Day of Judgment and it will be said: 'This is the one who looked after your family, so take from his good deeds whatever you wish.' Then the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) turned to us and said: 'What do you think?'" Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz also informed us > Abu Bakr ibn Ishaq > Bishr ibn Musa > al-Humaydi > Sufyan > Qa'nab al-Tamimi, who was trustworthy and righteous, and he mentioned a similar narration except that he said: "It will be said to him: 'O so-and-so, this is so-and-so son of so-and-so who betrayed you, so take from his good deeds whatever you wish.'"
