أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أنبأ أَبُو الْقَاسِمِ سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ اللَّخْمِيُّ ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ ثنا الْفِرْيَابِيُّ ح قَالَ وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ قَالَا ثنا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ ابْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ عَنْ جَابِرٍ ؓ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَوْمَ الْأَحْزَابِ مَنْ يَأْتِينِي بِخَبَرِ الْقَوْمِ؟ فَقَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ أَنَا ثُمَّ قَالَ مَنْ يَأْتِينِي بِخَبَرِ الْقَوْمِ؟ فَقَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ أَنَا ثُمَّ قَالَ مَنْ يَأْتِينِي بِخَبَرِ الْقَوْمِ؟ فَقَالَ الزُّبَيْرُ أَنَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ إِنَّ لِكُلِّ نَبِيٍّ حَوَارِيًّا وَحَوَارِيَّ الزُّبَيْرُ
English Translation
Abu al-Hasan Ali ibn Ahmad ibn Abdan informed us, from Abu al-Qasim Sulayman ibn Ahmad al-Lakhmi, from Abdullah ibn Muhammad ibn Sa'id ibn Abi Maryam, from al-Firyabi; and Ali ibn Abd al-Aziz informed us, from Abu Nu'aym, both from Sufyan, from Ibn al-Munkadir, from Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said on the day of al-Ahzab (the Confederates): Who will bring me news of the enemy? Al-Zubayr said: I will. Then he asked again: Who will bring me news of the enemy? Al-Zubayr said: I will. Then he asked a third time: Who will bring me news of the enemy? Al-Zubayr said: I will. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Every prophet has a disciple (hawari), and my disciple is al-Zubayr.
