أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَنْبَأَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الصَّنْعَانِيُّ ثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيم�� الدَّبَرِيُّ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ طَاوُسٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ عُمَرَ بْنَ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ قَالَ أَرَأَيْتُمْ إِنِ اسْتَعْمَلْتُ عَلَيْكُمْ خَيْرَ مَنْ أَعْلَمُ ثُمَّ أَمَرْتُهُ بِالْعَدْلِ أَقَضَيْتُ مَا عَلَيَّ؟ قَالُوا نَعَمْ قَالَ لَا حَتَّى أَنْظُرَ فِي عَمَلِهِ أَعَمِلَ بِمَا أَمَرْتُهُ أَوْ لَا البيهقي ١٦٦٥٥: عن
English Translation
Narrations about the prohibition of rebellion against the Muslim ruler, even if he is unjust. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever sees something he dislikes from his ruler, let him be patient, for whoever separates from the community by even a hand's span and then dies, dies a death of ignorance."
