أَخْبَرَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ عَبْدَانَ أَنْبَأَ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الصَّفَّارُ ثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ شَرِيكٍ ثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثَنَا اللَّيْثُ عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَلَا كُلُّكُمْ رَاعٍ وَكُلُّكُمْ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ فَالْأَمِيرُ رَاعٍ عَنِ النَّاسِ وَهُوَ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ وَالرَّجُلُ رَاعٍ عَلَى أَهْل بَيْتِهِ وَهُوَ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ وَامْرَأَةُ الرَّجُلِ رَاعِيَةٌ عَلَى بَيْتِ بَعْلِهَا وَوَلَدِهِ وَهِيَ مَسْئُولَةٌ عَنْ بَعْلِهَا وَرَعِيَّتِهَا وَالْعَبْدُ رَاعٍ عَلَى مَالِ سَيِّدِهِ وَهُوَ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ أَلَا وَكُلُّكُمْ رَاعٍ وَكُلُّكُمْ مَسْئُولٌ عَنْ رَعِيَّتِهِ
English Translation
Discussion of the conditions under which obedience to the ruler is obligatory and when it ceases to be obligatory. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "There is no obedience to any creature in disobedience to the Creator." This establishes that obedience to the ruler is conditional upon his commands not contradicting Islamic law.
