أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُقْرِيُّ أَنْبَأَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ ثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْقَاضِي ثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخٍ ثَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ حَازِمٍ عَنْ غَيْلَانَ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ مَنْ خَرَجَ مِنَ الطَّاعَةِ وَفَارَقَ الْجَمَاعَةَ فَمَاتَ مَاتَ مِيتَةً جَاهِلِيَّةً وَمَنْ قَاتَلَ تَحْتَ رَايَةٍ عِمِّيَّةٍ يَغْضَبُ لِلْعَصَبِيَّةِ أَوْ يَدْعُو إِلَى عَصَبِيَّةٍ أَوْ يَنْصُرُ عَصَبِيَّةً فَقُتِلَ فَقِتْلَةٌ جَاهِلِيَّةٌ وَمَنْ خَرَجَ عَلَى أُمَّتِي يَضْرِبُ بَرَّهَا وَفَاجِرَهَا لَا يَتَحَاشَى مِنْ مُؤْمِنِهَا وَلَا يَفِي لِذِي عَهْدِهَا فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَلَسْتُ مِنْهُ
English Translation
Abu Hurairah narrated that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever leaves obedience and separates from the community and then dies, dies a death of ignorance (jahiliyyah). Whoever fights under a banner of blind partisanship, being angry for tribalism, calling to tribalism, or supporting tribalism, and is killed, his killing is that of the days of ignorance. And whoever rebels against my ummah, striking the righteous and the sinful alike, not sparing the believer and not honoring the covenant-holder, he is not from me and I am not from him."
