English Translation
Khuwaylah bint Tha'labah was married to Aws ibn al-Samit. He pronounced zihar against her, and he suffered from episodes (lamam). She came to the Prophet (peace be upon him) and said Aws had pronounced zihar and mentioned his condition, saying she came only out of compassion for him. Allah revealed the Quran regarding them. The Prophet said: "Tell him to free a slave." She said he had none. "Tell him to fast two consecutive months." She said even three days would be too much in the heat. "Tell him to feed sixty poor people." She said he could not afford it. The Prophet told her to send him to a man who had half a wasq of charity dates, to take it as charity and distribute it to sixty poor people. This is a mursal narration that corroborates the connected one before it.
