English Translation
A woman rebelled against her husband during the rule of Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him). He ordered that she be put in a house full of refuse, and she stayed there for three days. Then he brought her out and asked: 'How did you find it?' She said: 'I only found comfort in these days.' So Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) said: 'Carry out her khul', even from her earrings.'
