أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْأُشْنَانِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْحَسَنِ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدُوسٍ ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الدَّارِمِيُّ ثنا مَحْبُوبُ بْنُ مُوسَى ثنا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الْفَزَارِيُّ عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِابْنِ عُمَرَ أَيُغْتَسَلُ مِنْ غُسْلِ الْمَيِّتِ؟ فَقَالَ مَا الْمَيِّتُ؟ فَقُلْتُ أَرْجُو أَنْ يَكُونَ مُؤْمِنًا قَالَ فَتَمَسَّحَ بِالْمُؤْمِنِ مَا اسْتَطَعْتَ
English Translation
Abu Dharr narrated: "The mu'adhdhin of the Prophet (peace be upon him) called the adhan for Dhuhr. The Prophet said: 'Wait for it to cool.' Then the mu'adhdhin called again, and he said: 'Wait for it to cool.' He delayed until we could see the shadows of the hillocks. He said: 'The severity of heat is from the blast of Hell.'"
