أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَلِيٍّ الرُّوذْبَارِيُّ أنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ دَاسَةَ أنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ أنا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ نا حَمَّادٌ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ؓ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ إِذَا أَكَلَ طَعَامًا لَعِقَ أَصَابِعَهُ الثَّلَاثَ وَقَالَ إِذَا سَقَطَتْ لُقْمَةُ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيُمِطْ عَنْهَا الْأَذَى وَلْيَأْكُلْهَا وَلَا يَدَعْهَا لِلشَّيْطَانِ وَأَمَرَنَا أَنْ نَسْلُتَ الصَّحْفَةَ وَقَالَ إِنَّ أَحَدَكُمْ لَا يَدْرِي فِي أِيِّ طَعَامِهِ يُبَارَكُ لَهُ
English Translation
Abu Ali al-Rudhbari informed us... from Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), whenever he ate food, would lick his three fingers. He said: If a morsel falls from any of you, let him remove the dirt from it and eat it, and not leave it for Satan. And he ordered us to clean the plate thoroughly. And he said: None of you knows in which part of his food the blessing has been placed.
