أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ فُورَكٍ أنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ نا يُونُسُ بْنُ حَبِيبٍ نا أَبُو دَاوُدَ نا هِشَامٌ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو قَالَا نا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدٌ هُوَ الْأَصَمُّ نا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ الْمَيْمُونِيُّ نا رَوْحٌ نا هِشَامُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ عَنْ بُدَيْلٍ الْعُقَيْلِيِّ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ اللَّيْثِيِّ عَنِ امْرَأَةٍ مِنْهُمْ يُقَالُ لَهَا أُمُّ كُلْثُومٍ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَأْكُلُ فِي سِتَّةٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِهِ فَجَاءَ أَعْرَابِيٌّ جَائِعٌ فَأَكَلَهُ بِلُقْمَتَيْنِ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ أَمَا إِنَّهُ لَوْ ذَكَرَ اسْمَ اللهِ لَكَفَاكُمْ فَإِذَا أَكَلَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَذْكُرِ اسْمَ اللهِ فَإِنْ نَسِيَ أَنْ يُسَمِّيَ فِي أَوَّلِهِ فَلْيَقُلْ بِسْمِ اللهِ أَوَّلَهُ وَآخِرَهُ لَفْظُ حَدِيثِ رَوْحِ بْنِ عُبَادَةَ
English Translation
Abu Bakr bin Furak informed us... from Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) was eating with six of his Companions when a hungry Bedouin came and ate the food in two mouthfuls. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: Had he mentioned the name of Allah, it would have been sufficient for you. So when any of you eats, let him mention the name of Allah. If he forgets to say Bismillah at the beginning, let him say: In the name of Allah, at its beginning and its end. This is the wording of the hadith of Rawh bin Ubadah.
