English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz informed us... from Mujahid, who said: There were disabled men - blind, lame, and needy - whom other men would take along to their houses. If they found no food in their own houses, they would take them to the houses of their fathers, mothers, and those mentioned along with them. The disabled men would dislike this and say: They take us to houses other than their own. So Allah revealed regarding this: 'There is no blame upon you' in that, and He permitted food for them from wherever they found it. The Shaykh said: This means when the owner is pleased with it, and they used to feel scrupulous despite the owner's consent, so the scrupulousness was lifted when it was with his consent. And Allah knows best.
