English Translation
Abu Abdullah al-Hafiz and Abu Bakr the judge informed us... from Ibn Abbas, who attributed the hadith to the Prophet (peace be upon him), who said: Everything has an honor, and the most honorable of sitting places is that which faces the Qiblah. Do not pray behind someone sleeping or conversing. Kill the snake and the scorpion even if you are in prayer. And do not cover the walls with cloth. And he mentioned the hadith. This was also narrated from Hisham bin Ziyad Abu al-Miqdam from Muhammad bin Ka'b. It was also narrated through another disconnected chain from Muhammad bin Ka'b, and no chain of narration has been established for it.
