أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أنبأ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ بَحْرٍ ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ أنبأ أَبُو أُسَامَةَ ح وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ وَجَدْتُ فِي كِتَابِي عَنْ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ؓ قَالَتْ تَزَوَّجَنِي رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ لَسِتِّ سِنِينَ وَبَنَى بِي وَأَنَا ابْنَةُ تِسْعِ سِنِينَ قَالَتْ فَقَدِمْتُ الْمَدِينَةَ فَوُعِكْتُ شَهْرًا فَوَفَى شَعْرِي جُمَيْمَةً فَأَتَتْنِي أُمُّ رُومَانَ وَأَنَا عَلَى أُرْجُوحَةٍ وَمَعِي صَوَاحِبِي فَصَرَخَتْ بِي فَأَتَيْتُهَا وَمَا أَدْرِي مَا يُرَادُ بِي فَأَخَذَتْ بِيَدِي فَأَوْقَفَتْنِي عَلَى الْبَابِ فَقُلْتُ هَهْ هَهْ حَتَّى ذَهَبَ نَفْسِي فَأَدْخَلَتْنِي بَيْتًا فَإِذَا نِسْوَةٌ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ فَقُلْنَ عَلَى الْخَيْرِ وَالْبَرَكَةِ وَعَلَى خَيْرِ طَائِرٍ فَأَسْلَمَتْنِي إِلَيْهِنَّ فَغَسَلْنَ رَأْسِي وَأَصْلَحْنَنِي فَلَمْ يَرُعْنِي إِلَّا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ تَعْنِي ضُحًى وَأَسْلَمْنَنِي إِلَيْهِ
English Translation
Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) married me when I was six years old and consummated the marriage when I was nine. She said: We arrived in Madinah, and I fell ill for a month. Then my hair grew back to a short bob. My mother Umm Ruman came to me while I was on a swing with my companions. She called out to me, and I went to her not knowing what was intended. She took my hand and stood me at the door. I said: 'Ha, ha' (catching my breath) until I calmed down. Then she brought me into a house where Ansari women were. They said: 'Upon goodness and blessing, upon a blessed omen.' She handed me to them, and they washed my head and prepared me. Then nothing startled me except the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) coming in the morning, and they handed me over to him.
