وَأَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدِ بْنُ أَبِي عَمْرٍو ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ أنبأ الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ أنا الشَّافِعِيُّ أنبأ ابْنُ أَبِي يَحْيَى عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ ؓ قَالَ يَنْكِحُ الْعَبْدُ اثْنَتَيْنِ لَا يَزِيدُ عَلَيْهِمَا وَكَذَلِكَ
English Translation
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said regarding sacrificial animals: "Do not sacrifice anything except a mature animal. If that is difficult for you, then a young sheep."
