أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَافِظُ وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ قَالَا ثنا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْجَبَّارِ ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ خَطَبَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ عَامَ الْفَتْحِ فَقَالَ أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ إِنَّهُ مَا كَانَ مِنْ حِلْفٍ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَإِنَّ الْإِسْلَامَ لَمْ يَزِدْهُ إِلَّا شِدَّةً وَلَا حِلْفَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ وَالْمُسْلِمُونَ يَدٌ عَلَى مَنْ سِوَاهُمْ يَسْعَى بِذِمَّتِهِمْ أَدْنَاهُمْ يَرُدُّ عَلَيْهِمْ أَقْصَاهُمْ تُرَدُّ سَرَايَاهُمْ عَلَى قَعَدَتِهِمْ وَذَكَرَ بَاقِيَ الْحَدِيثِ
English Translation
Amr ibn Shu'ayb narrated from his father, from his grandfather: The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) addressed the people during the year of the conquest and said: 'O people, whatever alliance there was in the Age of Ignorance (Jahiliyyah), Islam has only increased it in strength. There is no new alliance in Islam. The Muslims are one hand against those besides them. The protection granted by the lowest of them is binding upon them all. Their expeditions return (spoils) to those who stayed behind.' He mentioned the rest of the hadith.
