أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الْمِهْرَجَانِيُّ أنا أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ الْمُزَكِّي ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْعَبْدِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ ثنا مَالِكٌ عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ أَنَا وَكَافِلُ الْيَتِيمِ لَهُ وَلِغَيْرِهِ إِذَا اتَّقَى اللهَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ كَهَاتَيْنِ وَأَشَارَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِأُصْبَعِهِ الْوُسْطَى وَالَّتِي تَلِي الْإِبْهَامَ
English Translation
It was reported through Safwan ibn Sulaym that it reached him that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: 'I and the one who sponsors an orphan, whether his own or someone else's, if he fears Allah, will be like these two in Paradise.' And the Prophet (peace be upon him) indicated with his middle finger and the one next to the thumb.
